Players Schedule Rules Records History

The Tour Championship will be the final event of the year and will decide the Tin Cup Champion and the overall prize money. As it is a major, it will be an individual event.

Each player will be seeded 1-20 based on points accrued during the year. The 17-20 seeds will be in the first foursome, the 13-16 seeds in the next, the 9-12 seeds in another, the 5-8 seeds in another, and the 1-4 seeds in the final foursome. The tiebreakers for seedings shall be:

  1. Most Events Won on the Year*
  2. Most Points Won in the Most Recent Event
  3. Keep Going Back in Events to Determine a Winner
*Wins by a sub of that player and a team win at the road trip do not count

The round will consist of three 6-hole matches. For the first 6 holes, the best seed will play the worst seed in the group; for the next 6 holes, the best seed will play the 2nd worst seed; and for the final 6 holes, the best seed will play the 2nd best seed.

Each 6 hole match will be worth 2 points. Thus each player has the potential to win 6 points on the day. The winner of the Tin Cup is the overall point winner for the year and places will be determined for the next spots as well. In the event of a tie for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, a putt off will ensue. If a putt off doesn't happen, the tiebreaker will be:

  1. Head to Head in Tour Championship
  2. Most Events Won on the Year*
  3. Most Points Won in the Most Recent Event prior to Tour Championship
  4. Keep Going Back in Events to Determine a Winner

There will also be a monthly winner for this event decided first by most points won, with the first tiebreaker being low net, and the second tiebreaker being a net scorecard playoff.
